Building a Portfolio That Drives Impact: ARS’s Internship Program

Applications are now open for Advanced Remarketing Services’ Fall 2026 internship program, and we’re looking for motivated college students across Rhode Island and Massachusetts to join our team in Middletown, RI. Whether you’re studying marketing, communications, data analytics, or business, ARS offers a rare opportunity to work on projects that support national nonprofit partnerships and environmental sustainability initiatives — all while building a portfolio that stands out to future employers.

For students at schools throughout Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts, including Newport, Providence, Fall River, and New Bedford, an ARS internship means real, resume-ready experience close to home, without the commute or relocation that many internship programs require.

This fall, we’re hiring for three paid internship positions: Digital Marketing Intern, Social Media Content Intern, and Remarketing Data Analyst Intern. Here’s a closer look at each role.

Digital Marketing Internship

This internship offers broad, hands-on exposure to digital marketing rather than a single specialty. You’ll help maintain and update website content, write copy for emails, blog posts, and landing pages, and support research and analytics that shape our marketing strategy.

You’ll gain experience with:

  • Website content updates and blog writing
  • Copywriting for email, landing pages, and marketing materials
  • Competitive and audience research
  • SEO fundamentals and keyword research using SEMrush and Google Search Console
  • Performance reporting using Google Analytics and Google Data Studio
  • Task and project management using Asana

Best fit for: Students studying marketing, communications, business, journalism, English, or a related field who want broad exposure across the marketing mix.

Social Media Content Internship

This role blends graphic design, content writing, and video production. You’ll create multimedia content across five social media channels for ARS and its brands, working on everything from Reels to LinkedIn articles.

You’ll gain experience with:

  • Graphic design in Canva for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Short-form video production for TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Brand consistency across platforms
  • Content scheduling and performance tracking using Statusbrew

Best fit for: Students studying marketing, communications, design, or film/media who want a portfolio built around visual and video content.

Remarketing Data Analyst Internship

This internship places you at the center of a high-impact Business Intelligence project evaluating and optimizing our vehicle sales strategy. You’ll analyze data across multiple sales channels and directly influence how our Remarketing Department makes routing decisions to maximize return on every vehicle.

You’ll gain experience with:

  • Aggregating, cleaning, and structuring sales data for financial analysis
  • Designing and scaling analytical models from a local pilot to multi-region analysis
  • Comparing gross and net revenue across disposition channels
  • Building reports on geographic trends, market behavior, and pricing
  • Presenting data-driven insights to department leadership

Best fit for: Students studying data analytics, business administration, finance, economics, or statistics, with working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets. Prior exposure to SQL or data visualization tools is a plus but not required.

Why Intern at ARS

Advanced Remarketing Services (ARS) partners with leading charities, global nonprofit organizations, and environmental sustainability programs to create innovative vehicle remarketing solutions. Our family of services includes Car Donation Wizard, You Call We Haul, and SHiFT®, a first-of-its-kind initiative for eco-friendly vehicle recycling.

As an ARS intern, you’re not running for coffee and making cold calls. Across all three roles, you’re gaining hands-on experience spanning content strategy, dataset architecture, financial modeling, and multi-location analysis — building a versatile portfolio that stands out in the job market, all while contributing to work that supports nonprofit partners and environmental impact.
