1989 Mercedes-Benz 560SL

This week we’re featuring a fun donation to U.S. Fund for UNICEF, a sharp Mercedes-Benz 560SL.  These slick convertibles with the detachable hard tops were produced from 1971 through 1989.  They are the second longest single series ever produced by the Mercedes after the G-Class.

The Mercedes-Benz 560 SL is really the ultimate classic roadster.  The car was built for the luxury market but the durable V8 engines have made the SL a very desirable collectors piece. With advanced safety features for a car of this age, SL collectors are driving these around town as a daily. Our California car donor took very good care of this SL but the vehicle was stored outside and needs some cosmetic TLC.

We’re always excited when we receive a donated classic convertible.
