Position Summary:

The Video Content Internship will support the creation of engaging multimedia content for ARS and its brands. This role blends graphic design and video production, giving you the chance to work on projects that range from social media reels to website resources to trade show visuals. You’ll work closely with our marketing team to produce content that educates audiences, highlights nonprofit partners, and inspires sustainable actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brainstorm, script, and produce short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Edit and repurpose existing footage for multi-platform use.
  • Assist with maintaining consistent brand identities across platforms.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align creative assets with campaign goals.
  • Support scheduling, posting, and performance tracking of digital content.

Learning Outcomes / Skills Gained:

  • Practical experience with video production and editing tools (Adobe Premiere, Canva, Splice, YouTube Studio, TikTok Studio)
  • Exposure to digital design tools and visual branding.
  • Understanding of social media content strategies and platform-specific best practices for B2B and D2C audiences.
  • Portfolio-ready video pieces.
  • Skills in creative collaboration, project management, and storytelling.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a marketing, communications, design, film/media, or related program (undergrad or graduate level)
  • Familiarity with video editing tools
  • Strong creative eye and attention to detail
  • Interest in sustainability, nonprofit work, and digital storytelling
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders

Details:

  • Semester-long internship (with possibility to carry-over)
  • Approx. 15 hours per week (will adjust around student schedule)

As an ARS intern, you’ll gain rare, hands-on experience working on campaigns that span national nonprofit partnerships, environmental impact initiatives, and both business-to-business (B2B) and direct-to-consumer (D2C) audiences. You’ll have the opportunity to develop real-world skills in digital marketing, inbound strategy, content creation, analytics, and nonprofit communications—building a versatile portfolio that stands out in the job market.

The Web Optimization Internship will assist with improving the visibility, usability, and performance of ARS service websites. This role is ideal for students interested in search engine optimization, content strategy, and website analytics. You will gain practical experience using SEO tools and implementing on-page optimization strategies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct keyword research to support blog and web content development.
  • Audit website pages for SEO best practices, accessibility, and performance.
  • Assist in updating meta tags, alt text, and internal linking structures.
  • Analyze website traffic and performance metrics using Google Analytics, JetPack, and MOZ.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on content optimization strategies.
  • Research and present strategic recommendations for AI/GEO content.

Learning Outcomes / Skills Gained:

  • Practical application of SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMRush).
  • Hands-on experience with WordPress development plugins (Bakery, Divi, and Elementor)
  • Understanding of on-page SEO and content optimization techniques.
  • Experience with website performance and analytics tracking.
  • Skills in keyword research, competitive benchmarking, and content updates

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a marketing, communications, IT, or related program.
  • Basic understanding of SEO concepts.
  • Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Comfort working with website content management systems (WordPress experience a plus).
