Top Five Places to Watch Fireworks in Rhode Island

Independence Day means many things to Americans across the country. It could be barbeques with close friends and family, red, white and blue t-shirts or simply a day to reflect on how far as a nation we have come.

The holiday was originally established July 4, 1776, when the thirteen colonies liberated from Great Britain. Advanced Remarketing Services is based in Rhode Island, one of the original thirteen, and we host the oldest 4th of July celebration in the country.”

When asking around the office about what reminds people of the 4th of July, an overwhelming majority exclaimed “fireworks!”. Considering the holiday is just around the corner, what a better way for us to celebrate than thinking of the best places to watch them here in Rhode Island?

1) Bristol

The holiday celebrations start off with nightly concerts at Independence Park and a carnival at the Town Common.  On July 3rd at 9:30 pm, Bristol Harbor is lit up by the fireworks show. Then, on the 4th, the nation’s oldest parade kicks off at 10:30 am. This is known as one of the largest 4th of July events in the entire state and it will be fun for the whole family!

2) Providence

Providence is a hub for culture and celebration. Fireworks in the area will be held July 4th at 7:00 pm over India Point Park. People from all over gather in the state’s capital to watch the spectacle.

3) Woonsocket

If you’re from the northern side of the state, you know how far it can be to go to Providence. You’re in luck! On July 3rd, Woonsocket will be holding live music at Barry Memorial Field at 6:30 pm, followed by fireworks at 9:00 pm.

4) Warwick

Everyone loves the beach at night. Warwick is not the typical first thought for Rhode Islanders when they think of the beach. However, Oakland Beach holds amazing fireworks July 3rd at 9:00 pm along the seawall.

5) Newport

We saved the closest to home for last. Advanced Remarketing Services is located in Middletown and has plenty of island natives. Considering how close the two towns are, it’s safe to say this is the show you’ll see plenty of our team attending! Fireworks will be held July 4th at 9:15 pm over Newport Harbor.
