7/2/2009 Donation Wizard expands reach by 200%; Now working with 13 top national charities

In the past year, Donation Wizard has added eight charities to its roster, effectively tripling its base. In addition to Habitat for Humanity, National Public Radio, Arthritis Foundation, March of Dimes, One Laptop per Child, Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Foundation, Feed the Children and several other national charities, Donation Wizard facilitates the car donation process for hundreds of small charities through the Vehicle Donation to Any Charity (VDAC) program.

Donation Wizard consistently returns between 75 and 80% of the gross dollar back to its charities. No national charitable car donation program returns a higher percentage.

Donating a vehicle is a boon to charities and the environment. Every year, roughly 14 million cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, snowmobiles, trailers and recreational vehicles come off of U.S. roadways and find new life as recycled material. Approximately 75 percent of a car's content can be recycled, with 94 percent of ferrous metal made into new steel. The Steel Recycling Institute reports that the steel industry recycles autos at a rate near or above 100 percent, saving the equivalent of enough energy to power 18 million households.

The proceeds from just one car donation could pay for windows for a family in need of decent shelter, food for a starving child, medical care and research for an ailing patient or shelter for a stray dog. Donation Wizard accepts almost all vehicles. To donate a car, truck, boat or RV, call 1-877-957-2277 toll-free or visit www.donationwizard.com.
