ARS's new mobile application, mBid, gives registered bidders the opportunity to bid on older and salvage vehicles that match their customizable bidder profiles. Users will receive push notifications when vehicles matching their personal specifications are available, giving each bidder the chance to instantaneously bid on vehicles in a real time environment. According to Nielson's May survey of mobile users in the U.S., 38 percent now own smartphones. ARS hopes to capitalize on the tremendous growth of smart phone users and smart phone app technology giving users easy access to the automotive remarketing marketplace.
