Joe has been involved in the Automobile Remarketing Industry for the last eight years. In 1999 he joined Auto Placement Center (APC) as a National Account Executive. In 2000 he was promoted to Vice President, a role he continued when ADESA purchased APC in 2001. In this capacity, Joe directed the National Salvage Remarketing Group for ADESA Impact. He maintained relationships with over 250 auctions and 2500 recyclers and dismantlers nationally. He worked closely on the Vehicle Donation Programs of the National Kidney Foundation, American Heart Association, Arthritis Foundation, American Lung Association, March of Dimes, Habitat for Humanity, and several more. In 2004 Joe worked with a coalition of not for profit organizations that were fighting the proposed tax law changes regarding automobile donation. Joe spoke on behalf of this coalition with members of the Senate Finance and House Ways and Means Committees. Joe is widely considered to be one of the foremost experts on Vehicle Donation and National Salvage Programs. Prior to joining Auto Placement, he worked in the golf industry as a National Sales Manger. From 1994 to 1996 Joe worked as a Director for the National Kidney Foundation of Massachusetts and Rhode Island and helped to establish their very successful vehicle donation program. In addition to his work with Charities, he has managed relationships with many large corporations including Marriott, General Motors, Bank of America, ESPN, Gillette, Toyota, Honda and many more. Joe lives in Newport, Rhode Island and in his free time enjoys tennis, surfing and restoring his old home. He is a board member for the Gene Sarazen Scholarship Fund, Habitat for Humanity of the East Bay and YMCA Camp Fuller. In 2005 Joe traveled to Africa with Habitat for Humanity to participate in a rural housing project in Zambia, in 2006 Joe assisted Habitat for Humanity’s Hurricane Katrina Response by volunteering in Ponchatoula, LA and in 2008 he spent several weeks volunteering in Cambodia and Bolivia.
In July of 2008 Joe was selected as one of Rhode Island’s 40 under 40 by Providence Business News. (see article)
